Pictures at a Historical Park

Every park always has rules about photography. It’s one of the things that if a photographer doesn’t know he will learn quick. Nothing worse than being asked to leave a location in front of a client because you didn’t ask first.

Most parks have very relaxed rules about families visiting and snapping a few photos of themselves. But when you bring out lights and professional gear, they tend to frown upon that.

I don’t blame them, they have invested money into creating the atmosphere there and if you, as a photographer, are going to expect your client to pay for your services, then you should expect to pay for the park’s services. And follow their rules of where you can and cannot take your client.

The best part about doing a photoshoot in a historical park is the old buildings.

If I was to buy all the material to create, and then the process of making it look like it’s been there for years, it would me a small fortune. Nope paying the normal admission fee and following their rules is well worth it to create portraits like this.
