Oh how I love Christmas time. And not just for the presents. It's a great time of the year when you pretend to be cold in south Texas. When everything green should be dormant, but isn't.
Through some blankets, wreaths and some stuffed teddy bears.. or a horse in the bed of a truck and make a great backdrop for some Christmas card photographs.
I love it when the sun goes down and the string lights get bright. Even though in the low light it's hard for me and my camera to focus, I love the look of the photographs when I get it right!
And oh there was this tree.. this great big tree. Thank you city of Lake Jackson for putting up this big Christmas tree on raised platform. Georgia's smile here is because I'm just about to fall off of this platform just to get this photograph.
I think it happens every year for Christmas, there is always that feeling of wishing someone was here...
